Men’s Sheds

For the past five years, the team at Total Dust Extraction have been providing systems and support to Men’s Sheds across Victoria and interstate. We began our journey operating as Blue Roamer Services with the Geelong shed in 2020. This initial interaction triggered a strong sense of community service in our thoughts, which has remained our purpose throughout the years. Now operating as Total Dust Extraction, our owner, Owen, believes in the power of Men’s Sheds to build community, develop skills, but most of all to support health and wellbeing. His commitment to this work is driven by this underlying purpose.

TDE works with sheds across all phases of dust extraction from budgeting and design to installation, education and ongoing support and maintenance. We have a strong awareness that Men’s Sheds have unique and individual needs, budgets and people. As a result of this, each consultation and system is tailored to the specific location. Some sheds need small adjustments to current systems whereas some are looking for a complete redesign. We spend a lot of time talking and understanding what the needs are. Having installed in almost twenty sheds so far, we work hard to find creative solutions so that each shed gets the best from their finances and situation. Some sheds are looking for second hand equipment options to stretch their funds. Some want to contribute to the labour of the process. Many want to understand the system and its ongoing maintenance to be able to ‘drive’ it themselves over time. We take the time to value all these needs and make it work for the client.
